About A.F.R.E.D.

 

The company is owned and operated by John P. Stepansky, a police officer working in the computer crime unit for  a major state wide jurisdiction police department in Pennsylvania.  He has conducted hundreds of forensic examinations of computers.  He is also a part time instructor at Butler County Community College, developing and teaching the Computer Forensic curriculum.

 He has earned his Certified  Forensic Computer Examiner Certificate  from IACIS (International Association of Computer Investigative Specialists. ) He  has attended numerous advanced computer forensic training programs, an continues to advance his education.  He has been recognized as an expert witness, and has testified in both State and Federal Court on numerous occasions.   

Advanced Forensic Recovery of Electronic Data (A.F.R.E.D.) was founded in August of 2007. A.F.R.E.D. specializes in the recovery of data, both simple data recovery and forensic data recovery from computers, computer media and electronic devices.
