Simple Data Recovery

Simple data recovery is data recovery without forensic examination and forensic reporting. Simple Data Recovery can recover files that have been deleted, password protected files, encrypted files, formatted hard drives or recovery of data from damaged media. Depending on the media, some, all or none of the data may be recovered.

Initial Forensic Exam is an exam intended to make a determination if a forensic exam is warranted or possible. Any fees for the initial forensic exam will be applied to the complete forensic examination

Forensic Exam
A forensic Exam includes forensic duplication of the media to be examined for evidence related to the case and a complete report of findings. The time it takes to examine media varies widely, based on the type of media, the size of the media, and the complexity of the exam. Encryption, deleted, or obliterated data as well as other factors affect the complexity of the examination. $800.00 retainer fee for all forensic exams

$150.00 Per Hour, billed in 1/2 hour increments to the next 30 min., plus expenses. Expenses can included but are not limited to new media to copy the data to (CD’s, DVD’s, hard drives, etc.)

$45.00 per hour, plus mileage to retrieve a computer or for travel to a site for Initial examination of a computer.

Initial on scene computer examination. $150.00 per hour.

Password cracking / recovery
Password cracking / encryption cracking is billed at $30.00 per password protected / encrypted file. Often times it is not possible to recover the password. An additional $100.00 fee is required to provide the password

Expert Testimony / Deposition $150.00 per hour, billed to the next hour for actual testimony. A rate of $50.00 per hour, plus mileage is charged for travel time, and time spent in court without testifying. $300.00 retainer

Media Sterilization
Overwriting of existing data on a piece of media so that any existing data will be obliterated.
